Chris Tarrant's been given an award for his outstanding contribution to entertainment. The former Capital FM breakfast DJ was given the honour at last night's British Comedy Awards. His ex-Tiswas colleague Lenny Henry presented him with the trophy.
Tarrant, 60, is recovering from his recent marriage split and dedicated the award to his children, adding: “I will always be your daddy.”
It's 3 years this month since he handed over the Capital breakfast slot to Johnny Vaughan after 16 years presenting the show.
