Denise Van Outen is joining Johnny Vaughan as co-host at breakfast on Capital 95.8 Denise and Johnny famously hosted The Big Breakfast on Channel 4 together after she joined as a weather and travel reporter in 1996.
The Mail on Sunday reports Denise's salary will almost match Johnny's £1 million per year contract with the GCap station. "Denise was having final-stage negotiations with bosses at Capital just before Christmas," a friend told the newspaper.
Vaughan is currently bringing in 880,000 listeners at breakfast, just 5000 behind Neil Fox in the number one commercial spot on Magic 105.4
