A panel from BBC Radio Merseyside, Juice FM and Radio City will debate what makes radio great in Liverpool at an upcoming event.
The Radio Academy evening on December 7th will be held in the Radio City Tower, 350ft above the skyline of Liverpool, and hosted by Derek Hatton.
Questions such as “Is it the Liverpudlian character, warmth and chatty personalities?”, “Is it a style of radio that cant work anywhere else?”, “Why is the radio market different?” and “How can one city support so many stations?” will be asked as the Academy celebrates radio in the region.
Organiser Andrea Day told RadioToday.co.uk: “We wanted to see more Radio Academy events in the North West, especially now that there has been an influx of radio people who are now working from Media City. But the Radio industry in the area is much bigger than just Salford; Liverpool has some great content, stations and talent. This event is designed to showcase some of that in the heart of a key northern city. Not only that, but we have got a fantastic location for the event thanks to the guys at Bauer.”
The event is free for Radio Academy members but registration is essential by emailing andrea.day@trafficlink.co.uk
