Commercial radio favourites Pixie Lott and Beverley Knight have been announced as part of the entertainment for the Arqiva Awards next month.
The ceremony on 6 July, organised by RadioCentre, will celebrate the successes of commercial radio over the last 12 months and will be hosted by Absolute Radio’s Christian O’Connell.
Other acts confirmed to perform on the night include Swedish duo The Sound of Arrows and Louis Walsh’s girl-band Wonderland.
The guestlist for the awards night – now in its 16th year – includes ‘celebrity’ radio presenters David Baddiel, Ronnie Wood and Pete Waterman – as well as industry names like Capital’s Johnny and Lisa, Heart’s Tob Anstis, Magic’s Neil Fox and Smooth’s David Jensen.
There are a total of 30 categories at the awards, including new category PPL Best Breakthrough UK Artist on Commercial Radio, and five new categories for radio advertising.
