Classic FM takes live concert to Wales

Classic FM is bringing its popular Classic FM Live concert to the Wales Millennium Centre in Cardiff for the very first time, on Monday 12th March 2012.

It’s part of the station’s 20th Anniversary celebrations hosted by Classic FM presenters John Suchet and Margherita Taylor.

The line-up features the Philharmonia Orchestra with a host of soloists including young violinist Chloé Hanslip and the premiere of a brand new work composed and conducted by Welshman Karl Jenkins.

The station will announce more performers from both inside and outside Wales later this month. Co-host Margherita Taylor will join Heart this year too, with details being announced shortly.

Classic FM’s Managing Director Darren Henley said: “We are thrilled to announce our first ever Classic FM Live in Wales, as we celebrate our 20th Anniversary. It will be a fantastic celebration of the finest classical music performed by the brightest musicians from Wales and beyond. We are looking forward to a night to remember.”
