Former Capital FM presenter Luke Smith has joined Heart in the Thames Valley to do the weekday drivetime show.
He takes over from Gareth James on Heart 97-103, the station made up of the former 2-Ten FM and Fox FM licences.
Luke finished doing regular shows for Capital last month as part of a shake-up of the station’s schedule. He started on Heart in Reading today (Monday).
He told RadioToday.co.uk: “I’m thrilled to be returning to the place where I lived as a student and I can’t wait to get in the studio to broadcast to an area I love. After ten years of presenting, it’s an honour to be working on Heart.”
Heart Thames Valley’s Programme Controller Gareth James said: “Luke is a very talented and popular young presenter and his ten-year track record in commercial radio speaks for itself. I’m delighted to welcome him to the Heart family.”
