Luke Smith joins Heart Thames Valley drive

Former Capital FM presenter Luke Smith has joined Heart in the Thames Valley to do the weekday drivetime show.

He takes over from Gareth James on Heart 97-103, the station made up of the former 2-Ten FM and Fox FM licences.

Luke finished doing regular shows for Capital last month as part of a shake-up of the station’s schedule. He started on Heart in Reading today (Monday).

He told “I’m thrilled to be returning to the place where I lived as a student and I can’t wait to get in the studio to broadcast to an area I love. After ten years of presenting, it’s an honour to be working on Heart.”

Heart Thames Valley’s Programme Controller Gareth James said: “Luke is a very talented and popular young presenter and his ten-year track record in commercial radio speaks for itself. I’m delighted to welcome him to the Heart family.”
