Breakfast presenter Alan Brazil has eaten horsemeat live on-air, in a taste test to see if he could tell the difference.
Based on looks Alan said that lasagne B looked nicer and after eating both Alan correctly guessed that lasagne B was the one that contained horsemeat, which was homemade by a mum of one of the talkSPORT production team.
He said: “I’m going to say B looks the nicest and I reckon that’s the horse. That looks better, darker. At the end of the day if you were in a foreign country and you had that it’s ok, it’s just a bit chewy that’s all.”
A station spokesperson tells RadioToday that the horsemeat was sourced from a reputable supplier which specialises in exotic meats.
BBC Radio 5 live did a similar feature earlier this month, with Rachel Burden tasting horsemeat and beef during breakfast.
