Former Gold presenter Dean Martin joins All Oldies Radio

Dean Martin is bringing his request show to new online radio station All Oldies Radio.

He’ll initially host the programme on a weekly basis starting Friday 22nd November at 8pm.

All Oldies Radio’s, Russ Dee said today that “Dean’s appointment is exactly the calibre of broadcasting talent which will fit perfectly with our on-air team. Dean’s request shows have previously been enjoyed by millions across the UK and we are super excited to have it as part of our programming line-up.”

Dean Martin added: “I am so honoured to join, what already is, a huge line up of on-air talent. The Hit 45s Radio Group have huge plans for 2020 and to be part of that is fantastic. After leaving GOLD, I am constantly asked when my request show will return across the UK. It is now a pleasure to say, it will be back from the 22nd November.”

All Oldies Radio originally started as Hit 45s nearly four years ago and can be found online at alloldiesradio.com when it launches next month.

  1. Nice to see some radio stations are adding proper presenters, instead of replacing them with plastic celebs who are hopelessly boring on radio.they may be ok on tv, but radio presenting is a skill.Global have recorded music overnight at weekends now, after previously boasting they had presenters 24/7.Dave Brown is a big miss there, but perhaps he was classed as ‘old’ and too experienced for them.Perhaps they should have asked their listeners.I notice they still air adverts then, but obviously the income not used on a presenter.

  2. Brilliant news , I used to listen to Dean on Gold untill he left. Hope this station will end up on Dab thru out the UK.
All the very best Dean Martin mate.

Good luck Dean you are a truly professional presenter with something to say unlike Globals’ robotic jukebox style which frankly you can hear on your streaming service or by putting on a cd. Good to hear some of the Global management team are heading to Virgin too. Perhaps they will be able to be more creative, and offer more variety.
