The Hits Radio Brand Network is launching a virtual marketplace which allows small business owners to connect to more consumers.
My Local Market will be open for any small business with either physical premises or an online selling platform.
Traders are encouraged to sign up and create a market stall for free from today, ahead of the launch on 7th December.
The market will be promoted on-air and online by Greatest Hits Radio as well as across the Hits Radio Network, allowing local communities to directly support sellers in their area while business owners will have access to the audience for the Bauer stations.
Speaking about the initiative, Graham Bryce, Group Managing Director for the Hits Radio Brand Network said: “The build up to this Christmas season is unlike any other we have experienced in modern times, and we want to do everything we can to support local businesses hit hard by the pandemic.
“My Local Market is a way to capture the spirit of the annual Christmas Marketplace virtually, and provide local businesses access to our audiences through the Christmas season and beyond. As a partner to local businesses, we’re proud to provide local traders a helping hand at the end of a very challenging year and spread some virtual Christmas joy.”
