Jazz FM to be official media partner for Mostly Jazz 2023

Jazz FM is the official media partner of Birmingham’s Mostly Jazz Funk and Soul Festival 2023.

The partnership will see Jazz FM broadcast direct from the festival site, with interviews, back-stage news, and curated performances, hosted by presenters including Tony Minvielle.

Founded in 2010, this year’s festival runs from Friday 7 to Sunday 9 July 2023 at Moseley Park, Moseley, Birmingham. There will be performances from artists including Fat Freddy’s Drop, Ezra Collective, KC and The Sunshine Band, Fred Wesley and The New JBs, Kokoroko, Incognito, Jungle (DJ set), and Goldie (Live).

John Fell, Festival Manager of Mostly Jazz, said: “We’re very excited to be partnering with Jazz FM. Their forward-thinking music policy chimes perfectly with our own, and their involvement will not only give those attending the festival a new extra dimension – a peak behind the scenes – but also allow listeners around the UK to get a taste of the Mostly Jazz Funk and Soul experience.

“We can’t wait to welcome them on-site.”

Nick Pitts, Content Director of Jazz FM and Scala Radio said: “Performance and collaboration are central to jazz music and Jazz FM, and this partnership perfectly defines that.

“We are incredibly proud of our super talented music community and the fact that we can work with Birmingham’s Mostly Jazz Funk and Soul Festival to share that talent is absolutely what Jazz FM is all about.

“Our presentation teams will be at more festivals than ever before this year, soaking up the live music and talking to the artists for our audiences, wherever they are listening, and we’re pleased that Mostly Jazz Funk and Soul is part of this.”
