Swansea station Bay Radio has become the UK’s first FM radio station that plays nothing but music from the 1980s.
The Town and Country Broadcasting station’s Ofcom format requires it to target the over 35s with a ‘predominately gold and easy listening mix of music’.
It covers Swansea, Neath Port Talbot and South Carmarthenshire on FM and is also on the South Wales and Severn Estuary DAB multiplex.
Bay Radio says it will continue to provide local news, information and travel news for the area, plus exclusive content as official station of local rugby team Ospreys and the radio partner for the City and County of Swansea’s Spring 2012 events.
