Absolute Radio available on Blackberry 10

Another new product, another new platform for Absolute Radio as the station launches on the new Blackberry 10 hardware and software.

Two apps will be available straight away, the mobile player and their Live Scores app.

They were ported to be compatible with BlackBerry 10 by app specialists All In Media and Nobex Radio, respectively.

The Absolute Radio Player App for BlackBerry 10 offers listeners the chance to scroll seamlessly through main station programming while on the move, as well as digital offerings Absolute Radio 60s, Absolute Radio 70s, Absolute 80s, Absolute Radio 90s, Absolute Radio 00s and Absolute Classic Rock.

Integrated BBM™ functionality enables users to send, share and listen with friends. The app also takes advantage of Near Field Communications (NFC) allowing users to ‘tap to share’ the app and what they are listening to.

The Absolute Radio Live Scores App for BlackBerry 10 allows football fans to keep up to date with all the key information on the move, meaning users will never miss a minute of the action. Customizable for each Barclays Premier League club, the interface brings fans live updates straight from the pitch with live scores, full live text commentary in match, goal scorers, bookings, dismissals, substitutions, team line-ups, match stats and a live league table.

“We have a very strong mobile strategy at Absolute Radio and continue to extend the brand across available platforms.

BlackBerry allows for an integrated BBM functionality within our Player App, offering users a unique and highly interactive way to engage with both the station and fellow listeners. In addition, it’s great to have launched our very popular Live Scores app onto the platform for the first time” said Absolute Radio’s Technology Director, Paul Brown.

Download the app from BlackBerry World.
