Absolute Radio puts Keane under the bridge

Absolute Radio will mark the launch of Keane’s ‘Best of’ album by staging an intimate gig with the East Sussex band in front of a few hundred listeners.

The set, on November 14th at the live music venue Under the Bridge will be recorded for broadcast on Absolute Radio during Pete Donaldson’s evening show on Thursday 21st November and will be available to watch online.

The band will perform classic tracks from the album which features two new songs ‘Won’t Be Broken’ and ‘Higher Than The Sun’ which was available to download on September 28th.

Absolute Radio’s Head of Music James Curran says: “Keane are one of the most successful British acts of the decade and the new album is testament to their brilliance as both songwriters and performers. Absolute Radio is committed to offering fans the chance to get up-close to their favourite bands.”

The event follows Absolute Radio’s 5th birthday celebrations which included live music performances from Manic Street Preachers, Primal Scream and The 1975 and a brand new miniseries ‘Absolute Radio Icons’ which featured shows hosted by Steve Nicks, Arctic Monkeys, Haim and Kings of Leon.
