Ofcom has revised its advertisement for community radio applications in the East of England, adding in an extra area where applications are invited.
Ofcom originally invited applications in September 2014 for community radio licences in localities within the East of England, Northamptonshire and Milton Keynes, but said there are no frequencies available in Southend on Sea.
Now, Ofcom has now re-examined the area and realised there is one FM frequency available, so has now extended the closing date for applications in this area only till 3rd February 2015. The original closing date for all other East of England, Northamptonshire and Milton Keynes locations included in this community radio invitation will remain, as before, as 5pm on Tuesday 16 December 2014.
