Jono Symonds has been announced as the new Programme Director for Viking FM and Magic 1161 in Hull.
Symonds started his career in commercial radio in 1996 at The Bay. From there he progressed to Rock FM where he worked in commercial production and station sound.
He then took on the role of head of station sound at Radio Aire and after a year was promoted to the position of Deputy Programme Director, a role he has had since 2002.
Symonds replaces Craig Beck, who is joining Century Radio in the North East as Programme Controller following the resignation of Paul Smith last year.
