BBC Radio 5 live has announced plans for its biggest ever outside broadcast, with an edition of the sports panel show Fighting Talk coming from Stoke City’s Britannia Stadium.
The show, presented by Colin Murray, will take place in front of an audience of 6,000 next month.
Colin says: “Fighting Talk is a family. The contestants, the staff and most importantly our listeners. And this is the ultimate family get together. We will try to make this our best programme ever. Don’t be late!”
The special also sees 5 live teaming up with BBC Radio Stoke for a special local celebrity edition of Fighting Talk which will be broadcast on the local radio station and presented by Stoke City supporter Nick Hancock.
Radio 5 live Controller Adrian Van Klaveren says: “We’re working really hard to take 5 live around the country, getting as close as we can to our listeners. We’re thrilled to be coming to Stoke-on-Trent which will be a great place for our biggest audience event yet.”
