Absolute Radio 00s becomes 007 for 1 day

Absolute Radio 00s, one of Absolute Radio’s network of decade stations, has become Absolute Radio 007 for the day.

The day-long takeover is to celebrate 50 years of James Bond and the launch of Sky Movies 007, a channel dedicated to the complete Bond box set.

007 tags are playing across the day, informing listeners they’re tuning into 007 and the station is playing back to back Bond soundtracks during the usual No Repeat Guarantee.

The takeover will also be communicated using the station’s Social Media platforms, including tweets and engaging content on Facebook.

The deal was negotiated by Absolute Radio, Mediacom and The Promotions Factory on behalf of Sky.

Absolute Radio’s Head of Promotions, Katherine Knapp commented; “Absolute Radio 00s is able to offer a targeted demographic, and significant cut-through with the day-long takeover to launch the Sky Movies 007 channel. It’s fantastic to coming together to celebrate such a huge landmark of iconic films which our audience can relate to so strongly.”
