A new piece of research has found Absolute Radio is among the most creative and strategically successful media brands in the UK market.
The independent report by leading specialist media research company Work is called ‘Industry View 2012: Everything you need to know about media agencies and their clients’. It paints a picture of how media brands are viewed by media planners using data from 10 of the UK’s biggest agencies, industry thought leaders and media planners.
When asked to rate the media brands in terms of how they respond to briefs and the quality of their creative and strategic ideas the respondents put Absolute Radio at the very top, ahead of Facebook, Google, The Guardian and Global Radio.
Recently the Absolute Radio Sales, Sponsorship, Promotion and Digital teams have delivered new campaigns for Wickes to sponsor the Christian O’Connell Breakfast Show and secured a partnership with Currys and PC World during their recent Euro 2012 coverage.
The research also highlights the importance of data and described real time data as a ‘game changer’ which will open up new conversations with the agencies, something Absolute Radio offer through their InStream service.
Using InStream captures the gender, exact demographic and active location based data of the station’s logged-in listeners who in turn are incentivized to share that data by being offered a series of benefits including HQ audio streams, more music and more relevant commercial messages.
Absolute Radio’s Commercial Director Simon Kilby said “Not only does InStream put Absolute Radio at the forefront of digital innovation in the sector as we continue on our journey ‘redefining radio’, but also allows us to approach a client’s brief with even more tools at our disposal to get creative for our clients.”
