Jazz FM signs new Dinner Jazz sponsor

Taylor’s Port is the new headline sponsor of Dinner Jazz, in a new 26 week agreement done directly between the station and the client.

In addition to the programme sponsorship, there’ll be a range of bespoke content and educational/informative features that dramatize the core values of Taylor’s Port. Over the 6 month term that includes themes such as the history/background of the brand, then moving through to production to serving and enjoying.

The station tells us “‘Decanting Thursday’ will feature a particular bottle and there will be a ‘Dinner party’ mood on Friday – light-hearted or humorous features focusing on quirky, amusing or unusual aspects of Port and/or Taylor’s Port. On Sunday the tone will be more relaxed, mellow and cultured. There will also be a feature matching a special vintage Port to a vintage jazz track.”

There will also be a dedicated webpage on jazzfm.com which will host tasting note features on different ports, video footage of the Taylor’s wine estate and more.

“We are delighted to be sponsors of the Jazz FM Dinner Jazz programme,” says Adrian Bridge, Managing Director, Taylor’s Port. “We think that Jazz and Port are an excellent match. Both are a perfect accompaniment for sociable and relaxed moments. The timing and mood of Dinner Jazz make it an excellent platform for communicating about our Ports.

Jo Coltman, Director of Sales, Jazz FM: “We see Taylor’s Port sponsorship of Dinner Jazz as one of those rare situations where a clients brand values really do enhance the programme. What better to complement a Dinner Jazz moment than with a Taylor’s twenty year old Tawny Port or perhaps even a cold glass of Chip Dry White with tonic and mint as an aperitif. Delicious!”

Previous sponsors of Dinner Jazz include Berry Bros & Rudd and Bordeaux Wines.
