Students and industry head to Leicester

Three days of discussing radio and presentations from industry professionals has started in Leicester as the Student Radio Conference kicks off.

The event will see around 500 students take part in dozens of sessions, hosted by University radio station Demon FM.

Keynote sessions include those by Ben Cooper, BBC Radio 1/1xtra Controller, Simon Cole, Cheif Executive of UBC Media Group and Brent Tobin, Regional Group Programme Director at the Capital Network.

Speakers include Radio 1’s Aled Jones and Greg James, Kerrang! Radio’s James Walshe, Celador Radio’s James Stodd, Bauer Radio’s Steve Parkinson and Global Radio’s John Cushin, Dick Stone, Mike Walsh, and more.

The event also includes a Pub Quiz, Club Night, Sound Clash, the I Love Student Radio Awards and a Hog Roast dinner!
