Smooth Radio will hold its 4th Starlight Supper in March, with support from a number of chefs including the Fabulous Baker Brothers and Brian Turner.
The evening, which encourages listeners to hold a dinner party to the soundtrack of the station, supports Macmillan Cancer Support.
Each guest is asked to make a donation on the evening which is then collected by the host and sent to the station.
£350,000 has already been raised for charity, thanks to over 7,000 dinner parties held in previous years. This year the station aims to take that total to over £500,000.
Programme Director for Smooth Radio Steve Collins told RadioToday.co.uk: “Over the last three years, our listeners have generously supported Macmillan Cancer Support through the Starlight Suppers and I see this year as being no different. It’s now an annual date for many diaries and we’re pleased that the event has struck a chord with so many across the UK, all for the benefit of the charity.
“We are delighted to have an impressive variety of well-known chefs and cooks supporting Starlight Supper and we look forward to raising thousands of pounds for Macmillan Cancer Support.”
The evening takes place this year on March 9th, and has previously been hosted by Andy Peebles.
