Fire knocks off Jack FM and BBC Bristol
A suspected arson attack this morning at a transmitter site in Bristol has meant the BBC local radio station for the city and Jack FM have both been off the air.
Cables connecting transmission equipment to aerials were badly damaged in the blaze at the site on East Dundry Lane in the south of Bristol.
Celador retains Bridgwater radio licence
Ofcom has announced the award of the re-advertised analogue local commercial radio licence for Bridgwater and West Somerset to Celador Radio.

Breeze extends to Frome and West Wilts
Celador’s easy listening format The Breeze will add another licence to its coverage area in the South West of England at midday today when it arrives in Frome and West Wiltshire.
The group has acquired the Warminster licence from More FM Ltd, which has been operating since it changed from Total Star earlier this year.
The Breeze to arrive in Bath this month
Celador Radio has agreed a deal to take over the Bath local radio licence ahead of the end of the current owners’ licence period.
It means their easy listening Breeze format will be broadcast on the 107.9 frequency in the city from 25th September.
The Breeze to replace Total Star Somerset
Celador Radio has acquired the much troubled Bridgwater and West Somerset licence from Total Star, and will launch The Breeze on its three frequencies this Sunday at midday.
The licence was cut short by Ofcom last week for serious breaches, meaning it will be re-advertised next month to any interested parties.
Celador wins Bath licence for The Breeze
Celador Radio’s Breeze brand has won the re-advertised local radio licence for Bath.
The group will take over the 107.9FM frequency currently used by Total Star on or before November 14th 2011.
